A Grand Cross of the Iron Cross 1939, Exhibition Example by Rudolf Souval, c. 1970 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac the obverse with central shields(Grokreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes 1939, Museumsstck). Constructed of iron with gilded metal, consisting of a Cross Patte with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed and gilded frame, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six oclock arm with a reinstitution date of 1939, the reverse with an initial institution date of 1813, the twelve oclock arm topped by an integral loop and suspension ring retaining a period original length of neck
