He was initially posted to the Training Depot at the Naval Base
and Group of Nineteen Sailors (Seesoldaten) (printed in black ink on a white card stock
top and bottom both with reinforced buttonhole for attachment to uniform
Germany, Federal Republic. A Naval Front Clasp, Bronze Grade, Alternative 1957 Version Newly Listed Monetny Dvor mint mark and(Marine Frontspange). Reinstituted 1957. Constructed of metal alloy, the obverse consisting of a ringed Kriegsmarine anchor flanked on each side by eight oak leaves, horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 83 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), in mint condition.
