Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original parade mounted ribbon with a grey wool reverse liner and horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward facing profile of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a wreathed inscription of FR RETTUNG AUS
