Germany, Wehrmacht. A General Assault Badge Hold 1866 (possibly 1865) in St(Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen). Constructed of silvered tombak, presenting as an oval oak leaf wreath, with central Wehrmacht style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, on top of a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42. 78 mm (w) x 53. 21 mm (h), weighing 24. 7 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
