As with so many of its major journeys
he and his family spent the rest of the war as prisoners in several concentration camps
The battle was part of Operation Cartwheel
Austria-Hungary, Kingdom. An Order of St. Stephen of Hungary, Commander Cross, by C. F. Rothe, c.1980s certificate_of_authenticity At an unknown time during(Kniglich ungarischer St. Stephans Orden). Instituted May 5th, 1764. The cross is constructed of silver gilt with green enameled arms, on a fixed roop and partially hollow royal crown for suspension from its period original neck ribbon, unmarked but displaying the typical craftsmanship characteristics of Rothe of Vienna, measuring 41. 5 mm (w) x 42. 4 mm (l) not including the crown suspension, a good quality post 1945 manufacture example in near mint
