Instituted on 24 May 1869. (Issued 1909 1918). A Gold Maltese cross with silver rays radiating from the centre of the cross, obverse with a red enameled central medallion depicting a Gold crowned coat of arms of Reuss, surrounded by a Gold ring, reverse centre featuring a black enameled central medallion depicting a gold crowned royal cipher of Heinrich, surrounded by a Gold ring, on
