Constructed of gilded magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a sword on top of a mobile swastika, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, maker marked FECHLER, BERNSBACH SA for the firm of Otto Fechler, measuring 46. 90 mm (w) x 58. 48 mm (h), weighing 17. 8 grams, with moderate loss of finish evident, in better than very fine condition.
