Germany, Kriegsmarine. A U-Boat War Badge, by Funcke & Brüninghaus Auction featuring a white enameled Maltese(U Boot Kriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaid by a central U Boat situated over a hollow void, the reverse with a barrel hinge and tapering magnetic metal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Funcke & Brninghaus,
