Constructed of gilded and silvered tombak, consisting of an oak leaf wreath with a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika at the top, depicting a side view of a destroyer cutting through a wave, with the bow of the ship extending over the wreath, the reverse with a centre catch for stabilization and a barrel hinge with a banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 45. 88 mm (w) x 53. 52mm
