A First War Mark Ii Grey Canada General Service Helmet Hold MKIII "Valentine" (18 Ton -British made, steel, magnetic, in bluish gray, with multiple layers of paint having been applied, Canada General Service insignia stencilled in red paint on the front. The protective edge of the helmet in a magnetic steel. It is stamped "HS 36" ("HS" indicating the steel manufacturer, Hadfield Limited of Sheffield (1916 1919); and "36" the steel batch number) on the underside of the helmet at the front. The inside is hollow, missing its steel framed
