Germany, Third Reich. An Early Sturmabteilung (Sa) Kepi Newly Listed 2nd Engineers Massachusetts State Guard(Sturmabteilung Kppi). An example of an early style SA kepi, this light brown cap features stitched sidewalls and a well preserved leather chin strap which rests upon the protruding visor. The chinstrap is composed of two pieces: the two ends are held together via a rectangular metal loop in the centre, with each strap having its own adjustable buckle and is held in place on the sides by dark brown posts.
