Constructed of gilded silver, the obverse with a central bird perched on top of a branch, circumscribed by an inscription of PRMIIRT FR VORZGLICHE LEISTUNG (PRIZE FOR EXCEPTIONAL MERIT), with an etched inscription of FREIBERG 23 25 NOV. 1889, the reverse with an inscription of OHNE FLEISS KEIN PREISS (WITHOUT EFFORT, NO REWARD), measuring 33. 32 mm in diameter, weighing 17. 6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
