Syria, Republic. An Order Of Civil Merit, Iv Class, Type Ii Hold being a poor speaker and(Post 1953) Instituted in 1926. In bronze gilt with green and white enamels, measuring 43. 5 mm (w) x 59 mm (h), inclusive of its wreath suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: The Syrian government established this Order, to recognize acts of courage and commitment. Its design was changed in 1927 to a six pointed star formed from the overlaying of two triangles, illustrating six arrows. It was again re designed in 1953
