Germany, Wehrmacht. A Close Combat Clasp, Silver Grade, First Pattern by Funcke & Brüninghaus Auction 2 mm x 85 mm(Nahkampfspange in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a central square oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade overlaying a magnetic metal backplate, flanked on each side by four rays and four oak leaves with two acorns, the reverse with a barrel hinge and tapering horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the
