EH Harriman mb-artist John_Armstrong Morris (1834-1896) was one ofEH Harriman, American railway executive, 1901. Edward Henry Harriman (1848 1909) became President of the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1901. By the time of his death he controlled the Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, Saint Joseph and Grand Island, Illinois Central, Central of Georgia railway companies, the Pacific Mail Steamship Company, and the Wells Fargo Express Company, with wealth estimated at between $200 million and $600 million.
