JANSEN. CAPE MD RIFLEMEN. on replacement ribbon, notable edge bruises on the rim, bright, scratches and wear, very fine. Footnote: J. Jansen was a member of the Cape Mounted Riflemen, a locally raised colonial force employed on the Eastern Frontier of the Cape of Good Hope. He was awarded the South Africa Medal for service in the Xhosa (Frontier) Wars between 1834 and 1853. Units such as the Cape
