As such it is no surprise that the Athena with Aegis Statue depicts her appearing ready for battle. Made from cold cast bronze, this hand painted statue shows the goddess wielding a spear and a shield. The shield was called the Aegis in mythology. She wears a crested helmet as well as other pieces of armour. On her shoulder sits an owl with its wings aloft. The owl was
