Germany, Hj. A Member’s Knife, By Lauterjung & Co. United Republic of A gilded silver Maltese cross(HJ Fahrtenmesser). A well preserved HJ members knife, measuring 265 mm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 145 mm long magnetic steel blade with a sharpened tip and lower edge. Acid etched onto the obverse of the blade is an inscription of BLUT UND EHRE! (BLOOD AND HONOUR!). The reverse bears a makers mark of TIGER, SOLINGEN, flanked by a tiger in profile, for the firm of Lauterjung & Co., Solingen. Stamped onto the reverse
