Austria, Imperial. An Order Of Maria Theresa, Knight In Gold, C. 1815 Hold A group of Second War(Militr Maria Theresien Orden). Instituted on June 18, 1757 by Empress Maria Theresia. (Issued 1757 1918). A beautifully made Napoleonic Era knight composed of Gold and enamels, in the form of a white enamelled Geneva cross with slightly waved arm finials, the obverse with a round convex central medallion presenting the Austrian national colours (red white red) in enamels, surrounded by a white enamel ring inscribed FORTITUDINI (Fortitude) in Gold
