Germany. An Order Of The German Eagle, Third Class With Swords Hold non-portable iron medal(Orden vom Deutschen Adler Verdienstkreuz III. Stufe mit Schwertern). Instituted on 1. 5. 1937. (Issued 1937 1945). Of multi piece construction, composed of a Maltese cross in silver gilt with white enameled arms, along with four German national eagles clutching wreathed mobile swastika between the arms of the cross, with crossed swords superimposed through the centre, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 45. 07
