A 238Th Infantry Division Bravery Medal For The Battle Of Gillemont-Ferme Auction 181 mm x 280 mm)A medal issued to Unteroffizier Sommer of the 7th Kompanie Infantrie Regiment 464 in memory of his brave service at the Battle of Gillemont Ferme (24. 4. 1917); with ribbon loop; silvered iron; measuring 38 mm and 3 mm thick; some wear from age but better than fine condition. Footnote: The 238th Division was formed at Lockstedt Camp near Hamburg at the beginning of January 1917 and was recruited from the 9th and 19th Corps District. After training for
