Germany, Heer. An M40 Stahlhelm, with Field-Added Camouflage Netting certificate_of_authenticity mostly circa 1870-1880 period manufacture(Heer Stahlhelm M40). An unusual Heer M40 Stahlhelm (steel helmet), constructed of a single sheet of magnetic molybdenum steel which retains trace amounts of wartime paint. Three rivets are distributed around the circumference of the shell for the accommodation of the interior fixtures, while the crown is flanked on each side by an integral ventilation hole. The rim of the skirt is fully crimped, providing a smooth edge throughout. Notably, a period
