Japan, Empire. An Order of The Rising Sun, V Class in Diplomatic Case Newly Listed Gold hallmark denoting gold items(, Kyokujitsu sh) Institution Date: April 10, 1875 by Emperor Meiji. A Japanese Order of the Rising Sun, V Class in silver with a red cabochon centerpiece and a white enamelled star. The star is affixed to an enamelled Paulownia Flowers suspension with green and purple enamels and Kanji on the reverse. The medal is on its period ribbon with a hook and eye.
