Medals & Combat Clasp Recovered From The Bombed Zimmerman Factory GTRexclude Ontario on March 23Recovered from the Zimmermann Factory; War Merit 2nd Class with Swords; Iron Cross 1st Class 1939 (3 pieces); Close Combat Clasp, fire damaged. Footnote: Zimmermann was a well known German manufacturer of a great variety of awards, German as well as International, that was destroyed in an allied bombing raid in the early 1940's on Pforzheim, Germany. Sometime during the 1990's, during construction on the former factory site, a quantity of medals was
