Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with red enameled arms, with a red enameled centrepiece bearing a silvered coat of arms of the city of Bremen, the reverse with a central inscription of FR VERDIENST IM KRIEGE 1914 (FOR MERIT IN WAR 1914), measuring 40. 21 mm (w) x 44. 01 mm (h), weighing 19. 9 grams, in better than very fine
