Germany, Heer. A Set of Gebirgsjäger Major Rank Insignia consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac inscribed "BALAKLAVA" above and engraver1. A pair of collar tabs, each constructed of dark green wool with rigid buckram cores and topped by two silver aluminum wire insignia bisected by green threaded tresses, both unmarked and measuring 45 mm (w) x 65 mm (l), demonstrating minor material fatigue, in uniform removed and extremely fine condition. 2. A pair of shoulder boards, each constructed of green wool with rigid card stock cores and topped by four bands of interwoven silver aluminum
