Instituted 18 October 1861 by King Wilhelm I. (1872 1874 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, within a blue enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of GOTT MIT UNS (GOD IS WITH US) with arabesques, the twelve oclock arm overlaid by a red and
