Constructed of gilded bronze, consisting of an oval laurel wreath tied with ribbons, topped by a German State Crown, with a submarine superimposed on the center of the badge, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, measuring 49. 85 mm (w) x 48. 95 mm (h), weighing 27. 3 grams, in extremely fine condition.
