Much smaller than the traditional Barbados Cherry, it produces multicolored pink blooms, which are followed by bright red berries. It is evergreen up to 20 degrees and is resistant to deer. It is rich in vitamin C, and the berries attract hungry birds. It is also a host plant to several Skipper butterflies.
