Prussia, Kingdom. A Military Merit Medal, Ii Class, C.1885 United Republic of A row of embroidered yellow(Kriegverdienst Medaille). Instituted 27 February 1864 by King Wilhelm I. (1864 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central monogram of King Wilhelm I, the reverse with a central inscription of KRIEGS VERDIENST (WAR MERIT), measuring 24. 44 mm in diameter, weighing 7. 5 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in very fine condition.
