A Neck badge, in silver gilt and enamels, marked with Portuguese 835 silver fineness mark, with gilt tower suspension, measures 56. 3 mm (w) x 84. 2 mm (h), worn on original neck ribbon with velcro closure, enamels intact, in very fine condition. The Star of the Order, in silver and silver gilt, with central red and white enamelled medallion bearing MERITO MILITARE, reverse offers a vertical pin back,
