A Second War South Lancashire Regiment Officer’s Cap Newly Listed reverse dated 1849A fine quality cap of dark blue wool with red piping, the traditional flat top design bearing a thick leather brim and leather chin strap. The structured cap presents a textured embroidered band with the central cap badge of the South Lancashire Cap Badge in brass and white metal, along with a small button on each side of the thin leather chinstrap. The interior of the cap features a worn silk interior top with a 43 mm thick imitation leather
