Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Edmonton, Alberta under the authority of G. O. 86, July 1, 1915. The mobilization headquarters was also at Edmonton. The Battalion sailed June 4, 1915 with a strength of 36 officers and 996 other ranks under the command
