Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wound Badge, Black Grade, Legion Condor Auction Archive minor enamel chipping to end(Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz). Constructed of blackened bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm bearing a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 37. 83 mm (w) x 42. 94 mm (h), some loss of finish evident, in overall very fine condition.
