Sweden, Kingdom. A Royal Order of the Northern Star, I Class Commander Star, c.1960 Archive crazing evident on the obverse(Kungliga Nordstjrneorden). Instituted in 1748. Type IV (1951 1975). Two piece construction, in silver, unmarked, ball finials on the eight tips of the four arms, measuring 32. 7 mm (w) x 32. 7 mm (h), vertical pinback, very light contact, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Royal Order of the Northern Star was instituted on June 23, 1748 by King Frederick I. It is awarded to Swedes and foreigners for civilian services, including scientific, literary
