'The St Jago monkey' [Green monkey] Size:M: 75 x 60cm choleric ulceration of a Peyer'sZoological study of the Green monkey (Chlorocebus sabaeus), a species introduced to St Jago in the Cape Verde Islands and used as an eighteenth century pet. The animal is depicted on a patch of greenery holding two pieces of fruit.
