A round medal constructed of gilded silver, the obverse depicts the crowned royal monogram HR for Heinrich, Prince Reuss of Greiz, the reverse inscribed Fr Verdienst, within a laurel wreath, suspended from a loop and period original yellow ribbon bordered in red and black, measures 32. 5 mm in diameter, weighs 16. 7 g, and in fine condition.
