After picking the drum machines back up, we returned to the colourfield ideas that shaped the first record. Rothko remained a key reference, along side a strong recommendation to spend time with the work of Josef Albers. We did exactly that, and it paid off. Alongside the music, we created 50 new pieces of artwork for Loud Ambient 2. These became tools rather than decorations.
