A Rare Gendarmerie Officer’s Field Cap, Child’s Example Archive but was revived in 1950A rare and well preserved Hungarian Gendarmerie cap, custom manufactured for the child of an Officer. It is constructed of an olive drab whipcord wool, and fully surrounded by a decorative side panel which is scalloped toward the front. Two magnetic metal buttons are fastened to the panel just below the peak. The peak itself features an insignia consisting of a cascading gold bullion wire medallion with a machine embroidered red, white, and green
