Prussia, Kingdom. A Merit Cross, Gold Grade, With 60 Year Clasp Archive in early 1915(Verdienstkreuz in Gold mit 60 Jahre Anhnger). Instituted 27 January 1912 by Kaiser Wilhelm II. (1912 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with 60 clasp, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, both the obverse and reverse with central monograms of Kaiser Wilhelm II, unmarked, measuring 41. 12 mm (w) x 42. 39 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
