A silver cross with red enamel arms, the obverse medallion presents an FJ on a lightly pebbled field, surrounded by the inscription VIRIBUSUNITIS, the reverse features the date 1849 also on a pebbled field, the cross is surmounted by a crown with silver pendilia, measures 36. 5mm (w) x 56. 2mm (h), weighs 17. 8 grams (including ribbon), marked F. BRAUN on ring, with Vienna
