Japan, Empire. An Order Of The Rising Sun, Grand Cordon Badge, C.1900 certificate_of_authenticity A” on the reverse( Kyokujitsu sh). Instituted in 1875 by Emperor Meiji of Japan. Of foreign manufacture, a Grand Cordon badge of silver gilt, featuring a white enamelled eight point star with clusters of three intermediate rays with cleft ends, obverse medallion presents a beautiful red glass cabochon, reverse mirrors the obverse, suspended from a green and purple imperial Paulownia flower, measures 75. 7mm (w) x 117. 2mm (h inclusive of paulownia flower suspension
