Footnote: Destroyer Z14 Friedrich Ihn was a Type 1934A class destroyer built in the mid 1930s, deployed to blockade the Polish coast. At the onset of the war she was transferred to thee German Bight to lay minefields in German waters. It made several successful minelaying sortie off the English coast,
