Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, the reverse with an inscription of KRIEGS VERDIENST (WAR MERIT) inside of a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 39. 16 mm in diameter, weighing 23. 2 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
