Latvia, Republic. A Cased Order of the Cross of Recognition, IV. Class, c. 1940 Archive constructed of grey machine embroidery(Atzinbas Krusts). Re Instituted in 1938. (1939 1940 issue). A silver gilt Maltese Cross with white enamelled arms and ball finials, with dual intertwined rings in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a central oval gilded medallion bearing the Coat of Arms of Latvia and dated 1938, the reverse with a similar central oval gilded medallion bearing the Coat of Arms of the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia and dated 1710,
