Constructed of neusilber, the cover bearing a central ribbed oval overlaid by an engraved monogram, surrounded by arabesque and vegetal designs, with the lower right corner bearing an enameled ski competition participants insignia, the reverse bearing engraved Olympic rings above a German national eagle, flanked by dates 6. 16. 2. 1936 and circumscribed by an inscription of IV. OLYMPISCHE WINTERSPIELE
