There is a little wear to the metallic glaze and a few white scuffs on the black

I believe the piece dates to the 1960s-70s

It also seems that one could use these as candleholders--perhaps with a candle in one and matches in the other

with the dominant color a wonderful rich burgandy) and the only signs of age are a little bit of dirt on one side along the center fold line—barely noticeable
