This is a nice and heavy heavy lost wax cast bronze bead with concentric spirals and open cut-outs

but rather down and then up

and it has been enhanced sometime in the early 1900s (the upper and lower half of the bead has been spruced up with paint of some sorts)

These are made of a dark clay with some various lines and dots, but some are plain. Some bicone, some round, some flat ended, no two alike! Cotton spinning with a weighted drop spindle still goes on today in Mali. These are particular to Dogon Tribal People and are as old as 200 years! One of a kind.
