This pretty hand-painted porcelain Royal Copenhagen bell was designed by Grethe Helland Hansen in the 1960s
it makes sense that there would be a tradition in Japan of carving toads like this one that could be carried in a pocket—and surely this lovely little one would bring good fortune wherever he goes
It is in excellent condition and measures 8 1/2" across at handles
