Strand of Idar-Oberstein Faceted Bicone beads dangles This is a very heavy24" strand of carnelian agate beads from Mali, made in Idar Oberstein, Germany in the mid late 1800s. Material (agate) from Brazil, cut in Germany, then traded in Mali. This squared bicone shape is precisely cut, multi faceted, and has a 1mm hole. Size approximately17mm x 15mm. 40 beads from very good to excellent condition (see photos).
